Wednesday Night Lights huge success in raising awareness for men's mental health

In front of over 500 fans, the 1st XV pulled off a comprehensive victory over Swansea, winning 57-6. In what was their best performance of the season so far, the team scored nine tries, including braces from Bertie Cole-Fontayn and Duncan Darling, with Faysal Olabooye, Hywel Rose, Callum Sanders, Blake Edwards and Ollie Lyons also touching down. Pick of the bunch was Cole-Fontayn's second, which saw the front rower take a ball out the back before straightening magnificently and cantering in from twenty metres out.

The 'Wednesday Night Lights' event managed to raise over £750 for male mental health charities, so it was an all round successful night for the club.

Other results from the day saw the 2nd XV run out 41-24 winners over Swansea, with Ollie Bluck grabbing a hat-trick, whilst the 3rds and 4ths were unlucky away from home against Exeter and Hartpury, losing 35-12 and 41-5 respectively.

Attentions turn to the replay of the opening game of the season, with the 1sts taking on UWE away. The 2nds and 3rds are both in cup action, with opponents yet to be announced.
