UBRFC still unbeaten at home

The 1st XV continued their fine run of form at home to go three games unbeaten at home and extend their winning run down at 'Fortress Dingle'.

In beating Cardiff Met 33-10, there was another standout performance from Tom Burgess, earning him his second man-of-the-match award in two weeks, with Will Verdan also impressing, scoring on his first team debut.

The 2nd XV were a class above Aberystwyth, winning emphatically away from home 38-5. Tomek Pozniak should have had a hat-trick, whilst Will Weston marshalled the team around the park and made sure the result was never in doubt.

The 3rd XV were desperately unlucky to lose to a last-minute try against Bath, with the game finishing 26-22 away from home. MOTM Hugh Turnbull led from the front, carrying and tackling hard against a much bigger pack, whilst fullback Matt Hackney was unlucky not to get on the score sheet despite making line break after line break.

The 4th XV narrowly lost 19-10 at Swansea, and will be disappointed to miss out on the losing bonus point.
