The best way to keep up to date with University of Bristol RFC

UBRFC at the BUCS Championship 7s

3 months ago By Alex Brown

A difficult day at the office for the boys, but a good learning experience

The UBRFC 1st VII travelled up to West Park RFC in Leeds on Wednesday 25th April to participate in the annual BUCS Championship 7s, competing with some of the best rugby-playing university sides in the country.

Drawn in a tough pool against Exeter, Northumbria and Nottingham Trent, all Super Rugby sides, meant progressing from the group was going to be a tough ask. Despite not qualifying for the knockout stages, the boys did themselves proud, representing the UBRFC badge with pride.

There were other positives to take from the day too, with many of the players involved talked about how the experience was ultimately going to stand the club in good stead going forward as UBRFC pushes for promotion to Super League.
